We are revisiting some of those classic Bible stories, often a staple of Sunday school classes, where we think we know what they're about - often simple morality tales - and examining whether there is anything more in there that connects with our real (and often confusingly messy) experience of God and everyday life.
Today Dave looks at the little talked about older brother in ‘The Parable of the Prodigal Son.’
Despite not being featured in the name we’ve given the parable, this son teaches us something so important about our life with God and just how amazingly loving the Father is.
