One Anothering - 3. Encourage One Another
The Bible gives lots of instruction about what it is to be church and how to do it. But most of the instructions aren’t about the things we might expect - liturgy, songs, teaching, architecture, rotas… it’s about how we do certain things or hold certain attitudes to one another.
There are over fifty ‘one another’ commands in the New Testament. Over five weeks we’re looking at five themes of these ‘one another’ commands, so we can follow the Bible’s teaching and become better at ‘One Anothering’.
Today we look at the command, “encourage one another” with its companion, “spur one another on”. Could we be a church that helps each other grow into God’s character, plan and purpose for us?
