Reflecting on 2025
As 2025 rolls into 2026 it’s a great time to look back over the year and notice what God has been doing. It’s so easy to go through life without taking a moment to notice and we’re often worse off for it.
There are many ways you can do this, but we wanted to offer a set of questions to help you reflect on your year.
Perhaps take some time away from your normal everyday life and prayerfully think through each of these questions, asking God to draw your attention to key moments or changes.
We’d also love to get a sense of what the year’s been like for the whole church family, so it would be great if you could follow this link to share your thoughts. You don’t have to write much or even answer all of the questions.
Five Questions to Consider
ONE - What have you added to your ‘following Jesus tool kit' over the past year?
Are there things you’ve done or tried that have helped you follow Jesus that you hadn’t done before? Do you have a new perspective or way of thinking that is helping you? Have you developed new skills or are you doing something you previously found really hard?
TWO - How have your relationships with people in the church made a difference in 2025?
Are there specific environments, activities or type of connections that have been helpful or special to you? Thinking of your relationships in the church, are there ways that you have given to and/or received from others that has been significant over the past year?
THREE - How has your relationship with God been in 2025?
Perhaps think about the highs and lows? Or new understandings and expressions? Are there things that have really helped over the year? Have you tried doing anything differently this year? Or have you had a tough or dry time this year? If so, how do you interpret this struggle? Do you still see it as part of your journey with God?
FOUR - How have you seen God’s involvement in your everyday life?
Are there new parts of your life where you’ve invited God to be involved? How do you look for and/or experience God in your life? What part of your life do you think a non-Christian would be most surprised to discover you involve God?
FIVE - In what ways have you felt God prompt you to make a difference to the world around you this year?
It might be doing or saying something. Do you feel you’ve had more opportunities to talk about your faith this year? How did it go?
And a reminder - we’d also love to get a sense of what the year’s been like for the whole church family, so it would be great if you could follow this link to share your thoughts. You don’t have to write much or even answer all of the questions.
