Crosslines Christmas Meal

Is it too early to be talking about Christmas?

The Crosslines Team serve a hot meal to homeless and vulnerably housed people on Monday nights. Week in, week out, rain or shine the team have been great at meeting a real need for a community in tough times.

Alongside this, for the last 5 years we’ve also thrown a special Christmas meal. We’ve hired a venue, decorated it, arranged for a bit of live music and, with waiters serving the tables, given them a menu choice for a three course meal of special dishes.

This year we’re throwing the meal on Monday 9th December, at the St Sidwell’s Community Centre.

This special meal takes more than the usual team to make it happen, so it’s a great opportunity to get involved and spread some Christmas joy. We’re asking for people to help with cooking meals (we have a number of dishes with set recipes that you prepare beforehand at home), waiting tables, helping in the kitchen, setting up, clearing down and so on.

If you’d like to see the recipes for the dishes that need preparing, they can be seen here.

If you’d like to help, you can sign up for a role here.

If you have any questions please ask Sarah V or contact the office.
